There are two different reporting needed for Early Education students.
- Early Education with Avisia Whiteman is needed for your ECFE and School Readiness programs. This needs to be done by August.
- Early Education MCCC with Karen Millette is needed for your ECFE, School Readiness, School Readiness Plus, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten and ECSE programs. These too should be finished by August 15.
Item number 1 (Avisia Whiteman – Early Education) can be handled one of two ways.
- Manually entered on the MDE site
OR
- Uploaded XML file, which requires that the children be enrolled into a Synergy organization, and then using the Childhood Program Participation view (found in the Synergy tree/Student Programs folder) to add the needed program records and then using the State Extract to create the xml to upload to MDE. This option may take some setup to the organization view, look up tables and Pad Security if your district is just implementing this option. A more complete document can be found on the Region1 web site. This will require an approved login to access the document. The document can be found in the Products and Services / Edupoint Synergy / Manuals area. You can sort by title, or by date, to find the document named: “MN Early Education and Synergy”.
Item number 2 (Karen Millette – MCCC) can only be handled by creating XML files (Course, Staff and Student) for the programs mentioned and uploaded via an approved login to MDE.
A document detailing the reporting of MCCC data for Early Education through grade 12 will be posted to our Region1 web site. This will require an approved login to access the document. The document can be found in the Products and Services / Edupoint Synergy / Manuals area. You can sort by title to find the document named: “MN MCCC and Synergy”.
