When completing your bank reconciliation, PLEASE be sure that you have finished balancing the prior months reconciliation, BEFORE starting the reconciliation for the current month. We are in the month of March, and you are going to do the bank reconciliation for February. Double check that your January reconciliation worksheet is balanced to zero and that you have finalized the worksheet before you create the reconciliation for February. If you start the next month before you have finalized the prior month, this can cause issues with your reconciliation. You will have to undo everything you've done in the current month, and it will need to be deleted before you can go back and fix the prior month. If you do not balance and are not able to figure out why you don’t balance, PLEASE reach out to the Region 1 finance team. We can help you determine why you are not balancing, or give you some ideas on what to look at. Don’t just add it as an adjustment and move on. It will need to get cleaned up eventually!
